The Smart BatteryProtect prevents batteries from being discharged too deeply and thus being damaged. You choose the model based on the maximum current of your consumers: 65A for small systems, 100A for medium-sized systems and 220A for heavy systems.
With Victron LFP SuperPacks, this module is not necessary, because the protection is already built into the battery. With AGM batteries, the Smart BatteryProtect is highly recommended, because AGM batteries are poorly able to withstand deep discharge, while LFP batteries tolerate this better.
